November is our 20th Anniversary Celebration!

We're preparing to launch into November, and with it our month-long 20th Anniversary Celebration!Things will kick off with a very special edition of Wide Open Floor, our monthly "First Friday Showcase."  Our good friends of MES are part of the celebration with the eagerly awaited music documentary, Muscle Shoals, on Sunday, Nov. 3.Tickets are on sale for some outstanding musical events.  The musical segment of the celebration begins Tuesday, Nov. 5 with the extraordinary solo piano of Thollem McDonas, a co-production with our partner in all things adventurous, the Shaking Ray Levi Society.  On Wednesday, Nov. 6, we have the Helen Highwater Stringband, featuring David Grier, Mike Compton, Missy Raines and Shad Cobb.  This is truly a supergroup of acoustic music!  Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7, 8 and 9, bring Come On In My Kitchen, an utterly unique and delightful combination of Ann Law's choreography with fine food and cocktails to accompany 6 takes on Robert Johnson's classic.  Jazz At Barking Legs joins the celebration on Thursday, Nov. 14, when ace saxophonist Rahsaan Barber & Everyday Magic perform.  On Friday, Nov. 15, Norman Blake returns to the Legs with Nancy Blake and James Bryan.  The Rising Fawn String Ensemble... wow!Long-time collaborators, ArtFRONT Productions will bring the anniversary month to a close with after-Thanksgiving shows featuring Angel Snow and the Little Country Giants on Friday and Ryan Oyer on Saturday.  There will be more info on these two shows on the website soon.  And there may be more additions yet to come!So take a deep breath, eat your Wheaties, put on your running shoes, pull out your walkin' cane... whatever it takes to be a big part of this amazing 20th Anniversary Celebration!And we've just added Ron Block Trio featuring Sierra Hull on Dec. 7!  Ron is a mainstay of Alison Krauss and Union Station.   Sierra has risen from teen phenom to mandolin monster over just a few years.  December will not disappoint!
