THIS EVENT IS A PART OF BARKING LEGS THEATER’S 30TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!

On this exciting evening audiences will get a two-for-one deal! These two new works are the result of the Barking Legs Artist Incubator project. New Works include Squeeze SH*T In (Ain't Got Time For Nothin') by Monica Ellison and “at night by grass & trees” by Mark Krawzyck.

Squeeze SH*T In (Ain't Got Time For Nothin')

SSI (AGTFN) an original dance piece created by Monica Ellison about youth, legacy, motherhood, and the balancing act of life. She will have Juno and Zoe Chatman accompanying her in this performance.

Monica Alicia (Coates) Ellison, originally from Baltimore, MD, earned a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University. Her professional journey has, and continues to be, a rich one, and Monica's dedication to dance is palpable through her daily dance practice, an intimate journey she generously shares on social media, inspiring others to explore their own dance paths.

Juno (Tanqueray Harper) is a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist, fire performer, and multi-passionate artist whose engagement with the community now spans across creative and educational pursuits. They are also a photographer and founder of True Capture Studios, a mission-based documentation company. Their work celebrates neurodiversity and encourages an interdisciplinary approach to learning and self expression.

Zoe Chatman has been in the arts for over 10 years. From community theaters to private projects, Zoe understands the importance of the arts and how theater education is beneficial to society. Zoe assisted in teaching the kindergarten acting class at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, then proceeded to become president of a teen outreach group called Theater Quest and also teaches for Move N Groove Kidz.

A chilling reminder that the boundary between self and void is as fragile as the night's fleeting whispers.” This original, multimedia performance explores the feeling of loneliness and loss of artistic self-worth that many of us felt during the pandemic. It is sure to stir up strong thoughts and feelings!

Mark Krawczyk is an innovative and purpose-driven theater practitioner with over 20 years of experience in professional acting (AEA), devising, arts management, directing, and teaching. Mark’s work has also extended into film and TV by appearing in numerous commercials, industrial films, and the Netflix series House of Cards. He is always searching for new opportunities to use theater as a tool for raising awareness of various social issues, fostering change, and inspiring the next generation of artists and arts supporters.
