Night & Day, written by local playwright Mixy Mixon, is a fantastical folklore set at the beginning of time that follows the Sun and the Moon on their journey to save humanity. The show starts 150 years after the earth's inception when Sol (the sun) and Linus (the moon) are the only two beings on earth. Neither of them know about each other until one fateful day, a book falls into Linus' hands that gives him more insight into himself and the existence of Sol on the other side of the Earth. This occurs as night becomes day and day becomes night, causing Linus to search for Sol. The book prompts them on a harrowing journey to restore the light on Earth and save the future of humanity. The play touches on themes of love, loss, fear, hope, and grief. It is suitable for all audiences, but strives to capture adult in audiences with it's existential themes. The play is full of heartfelt whimsy, light hearted humor, and deep contemplative themes.
