New Work #2: Cast Iron Storytelling: “Crossroads and Constellations” by Jason Tinney
Created and directed by Jason Tinney, Cast Iron Storytelling is a Chattanooga-based series that fosters the art and craft of storytelling and honors the diverse and distinct voices that call Southeastern Tennessee, and the greater Appalachian region, home.
Cast Iron makes its debut as part of the New Works in Process Artist Residency at Barking Legs Theater. Featured storytellers – Dr. Cathy Scott, Taylor Boyd, and Ginger Birnbaum – will share true, personal tales spurred by the theme: “Crossroads and Constellations.” These stories explore a crossroads moment in their lives and the stars that aligned to guide them through a pivotal choice.
Inspired by the power of storytelling to connect neighbors with neighbors across our community, Cast Iron – seasoned and made to last a lifetime – celebrates the stories that shape who we are.
