LaDonna & Misha: Improvised Music from Two Continents

  • Barking Legs Theater 1307 Dodds Avenue Chattanooga, TN, 37404 United States (map)

A Birmingham native, violinist LaDonna Smith has been a major figure in the realm of improvised music for something like 50 years. Together with musical partner Davey Williams, LaDonna was a North American pioneer of a musical form whose earliest practitioners were mainly Europeans. Though she’s toured the world repeatedly, Birmingham has remained her home base, a dedication for which many of us are most grateful.

Misha Feigin was born and raised in Moscow and is known as one of Russia’s premiere guitarists. When he immigrated to the US in 1990, he left behind an established position in the Moscow arts scene highlighted by his four albums on the Melodia label, features on major radio and television shows, and national and international tours. Now based in Louisville, KY, he and LaDonna are renewing a musical collaboration of many years with this tour of several SE venues.

We anticipate special guests to add elements of sound and movement what is sure to be a most charming evening.

Tickets are $12 advance and $15 at the door. GET TICKETS HERE!
