A Choreographic Workshop

Barking Legs Theater
Facilitator: Ann Law
Cost: $90 for all 6 weeks and performance

Does your mind daydream in movement? Do you have phrases that are pouring out of your heart and mind? Dances In Raw States is designed to support your artistic endeavor to create new work or revisit work that you have been building on for a while. This choreographic workshop offers a safe place to step out of your comfort zone, understand your personal creative process, and commune with a community of movers. Together we will explore a variety of choreographic tools and processes. During these six (6) weeks, we will investigate different and new ways to find our unique choreographic voices. This workshop will culminate into a showcase where we will present our dances to friends, family, and the general public.

ANN LAW is a dance artist who will be facilitating Dances In Raw States. She began this choreographic workshop because she feels that there is never a better time to make dances than now! With a BA in Dance from Mills College and a MA in Dance Education from UNCG, Ann has had the amazing opportunity to work and create with choreography teachers from Robert Ellis Dunn to Bessie Schonberg to Claire Porter.
