Dogma Dance Off brings 18 new bands to Barking Legs on June 2
May 28th, 2019
Plus, there will be drone yoga, food trucks and a showcase of art for sale at this arts fundraiser.
The music starts at 3 p.m. Sunday at Barking Legs Theater, 1307 Dodds Ave.
In its fourth year, Dogma Dance Off is a celebration of music, art and charity that has expanded from a one-day event to three days spanning Nashville (May 31), Murfreesboro (June 1) and Chattanooga (June 2). The dance off focuses on bringing each community together with fresh musical and artistic talent.
This year, Dogma Dance Off has partnered with local nonprofit The Shaking Ray Levi Society, Ooko Studios of Nashville and Melted Magazine. All proceeds from the festival will go to two organizations: Mark Making in Chattanooga, whose mission is to transform communities through the arts; and Jessi Zazu Inc. in Nashville. That organization’s mission has been to continue Zazu’s work in the arts and humanities, social justice and women’s health after she succumbed to cancer in 2017.
A minimum donation of $10 is requested at the door.
