BLT's New Website Launches July 1

As Barking Legs prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary in November, the time was right—beyond due, in fact—for a fresh new look for our website. The new site, created by Bill Ramsey of RamseyMedia, brings Barking Legs into the 21st century (OK, so we're a little slow to catch on to all this groovy technology) with a wealth of features and options. Here's an overview of the updates:On the homepage:

  • Slideshow & Billboards The next three events are highlighted beneath a slideshow of artists coming to Barking Legs. And arrow provides a quick link to each event featured in these "billboards."
  • Featured Artists Recent album covers and links to artists websites provide visitors the opportunity to visit artist websites and listen to and/or purchase CDs or digital downloads. We'll archive all future artists appearing at Barking Legs under Audio on our Music page.
  • BLT Artist Sampler Our music player highlights tasty tracks from a featured upcoming artist at Barking Legs—listen while you browse and familiarize yourself with new music.
  • Upcoming Events A brief calendar of the next few coming shows at Barking Legs. Just click on the event to read more and purchase advance tickets. The entire calendar of events is under Live@Barking Legs. Events hosted by organizations renting Barking Legs are featured under Rental Events.
  • Barking Legs in the News Recent stories about Barking Legs shows and artists by the local media will be supplemented by our own announcements. We'll also post BLT News in this space, as well as articles about artists appearing at Barking Legs found on other website.
  • Featured Artist Video A video featuring performances by artists with upcoming shows at Barking Legs, also archived on our Video page under the Music section.
  • BLT Soundcloud Many artists are taking advantage of Soundcloud.com to post songs and albums of material for fans and listeners to share.

Navigation bars above and below the featured artists and events calendar are self-explanatory and contain the entire archives of our former site. But please—take your time to discover and explore the entire site. We'll be adding much more in the coming weeks and months, including a photo gallery of shows and events. If you have questions or suggestions, please write us at info@barkinglegs.com or sign up for our email newsletter to receive updates and news about shows and events at Barking Lets.
