Meet the 2021 Giv’atayim // Chattanooga Artists

The inaugural 2021 Cultural Cross Ties cohort included four local Chattanooga artists and four artists from our sister city of Giv’atayim, Israel. This project was founded on the belief that in times of turmoil, artists’ often poignant responses can elicit powerful visions of hope.

We paired the artists and prompted them to create new work and share their experiences as artists and global citizens in weekly zoom sessions. In an era defined by isolation and mistrust, these partnerships encouraged curiosity while exploring unknown possibilities within the creative process.
