Contemporary Performing Arts of Chattanooga (CoPAC) is the 501(c)(3) that operates Barking Legs Theater since 1993. Our mission is to enhance the community by cultivating and mentoring diverse artists, presenters, and audiences in an eclectic, inclusive and creative environment.
Barking Legs is an intimate performing arts venue that strives to maintain a standard as one of Chattanooga’s favorite places for performers and patrons alike. Over the last 30 years, we have hosted a vast variety of avant-garde, experimental, boundary-pushing performances and built a home for the eccentric, independent-art-loving community that inspires us to keep the creativity kicking.
Barking Legs is dedicated to elevating the work and voices of performers who represent marginalized communities through programming that explores the social justice issues happening in our own backyard and providing a space for deep reflection and honest conversation.
